Not sure how it is even possible, but our little W is 10 months!! So very bittersweet. All these exciting milestones like crawling, climbing, and talking and suddenly my baby is looking more like a little kid. W is totally on the move, speed crawling and pulling up on furniture though he is unsteady and frequently bonking his cute little face. He is going to give us a run for our money just like his two older brothers, hence the play yard below penning him in! He has at least six BIG teeth (literally chompers) pretty much wants to eat anything and everything, stealing food away from his big brothers. Such a typical third baby in so many ways.. Though he get's dragged around to everyone's hockey games and is hard-pressed to be able to nap on his beloved schedule, he surely benefits from experienced and much more relaxed parents, brothers and family that shower him with attention to name a few perks. Despite joining us a month early and starting off small, he's putting most of our initial concerns to rest, growing leaps and bounds and hitting milestones (on target with his brothers).. As some of your know, he's having trouble with his pesky right ear, and actually appears to have Single Sided Deafness (SSD). This is a post in in itself as we are going to lots of appointments, doing testing, and looking for the best approach to help him. More to come on this, but he has been adapting so well, I'm actually amazed! He has been saying "dada" up a storm which is exciting! He is such a little love bug too, all his little hugs and slobbery kisses are especially welcome being our last little guy. Every baby is SO different. Some babies are walking at 10 months and some still trying to crawl.. at this age there are really no perfect products for everyone. Nonetheless, I thought it would be fun to share some of the products we're loving these days as Baby W hit 10 months last week. 1. Pop n Play Portable Play Yard from Summer Infant This play yard has been worth its weight in gold. We used it a ton this summer outside and just recently with Baby W being on the move and so curious it dawned on me to set this up inside - thank goodness! 2. Sherpa fleece lined shoes from Two Little Beans Co. So many things I love about these little soft sole shoes... They are made by a mom is Maine, they actually stay on, they are super soft and cozy and they come in the cutest patterns. 3. Revolution Flex stroller from BOB Over the years I've tried different jogging strollers and my favorite has changed based on different models and features, but I'm currently using the 2016 BOB Revolution Flex for running or long walks with Baby W, and am loving it. You can't beat the push and I'm loving the adjustable handle on this model. 4. Seedling High Chair from OXO Tot With three hungry boys we've tried several different high chairs. In the end I seem to think simple is key; the easier to use and the easier to clean the better. This chair from OXO Tot is great - it's attractive, so simple to use, you can throw the seat cover and straps right in the wash, it has an adjustable incline for the seat which I like, and it's available at a pretty reasonable price point. 5. Rainforest Jumperoo from Fisher Price This has been around the block with our family; I'm glad we've kept it all these years. It's perfect for moments when you need your arms free like cooking dinner or taking a shower. 6. My Busy Town Play Cube from Alex Baby W loves exploring this cube. I like that It's well made, very sturdy and good for lots of entertainment. 7. Anything from the Cozie collection from Zutano We are HUGE Zutano fans, and can't get enough of their cozie collection; it's really perfect for these chilly Maine days. We have the hats, booties, mittens, pants, sweaters, and bodysuits and love them all. 8. Radian RXT Convertible Car Seat from Diono We are big Diono fans. Right now I have three Diono seats in my van - Jack is in their Cambria high back booster and Calvin and Walter are both in Radian RXT's. These seats are narrow for an easy fit in the vehicle, they are made of steel and super durable, and the longevity on these seats is fantastic. 9. Sweatpants from Purl Lamb These pants are soft and cozy for our chilly fall weather in Maine, and the well designed ankle actually stays put avoiding cold little ankles. 10. Gemini carrier from Beco I'm a big fan of babywearing, both for the closeness to baby, and for the convenience. For my last two babies, the Beco Gemini has been my go-to carrier as it's really versatile, easy to use (with no insert required), I find it extremely comfortable to wear (love the ability to cross the straps in the back), and it comes in some really great fabric options. 11. Retro See and Say Spinner from Fisher Price With Baby W's hearing loss, we are have been working with him on sounds and have found animal noises a great place to start. He loves this old favorite and his brothers have had fun showing him how it works. 12. Baby Down Sweater from Patagonia Living in Maine, layering and bundling up is essential. Patagonia's down sweaters are staples in all of our wardrobes as they are nice and warm without being bulky, which is especially great for baby. 13. Learn and Groove Music Table from Leap Frog This is another old favorite that we've had for all 3 kids. Baby W loves practicing pulling up and playing with all the musical sounds. What are some of your favorites for this age?? Thanks as always for stopping by!
