Thank you for all your continued well wishes and support! I'm 24 weeks and counting and getting more excited by the day. The 24 week mark always brings a little sigh of relief for me. I still have a long way to go and there are never any guarantees, but having had a micro preemie just shy of this mark makes moving beyond it is a big milestone. I am not a worrier by nature and I wish I could say I trust my body and my body was made for this, but so much has happened over the years to give me doubts. With that said, I'm trying my very hardest (especially where this will be my last pregnancy) to enjoy these last few months and truly let myself get excited and soak it all in. Outfit details: top is by Full Moon Maternity from Stitch Fix and jeans are Seven For All Mankind from Destination Maternity Here's a run down of where I'm at these days: How I'm feeling: BETTER- for me I always start to turn a corner around the 20 week mark. While I'm still feeling nauseous in the morning, overall I'm feeling much better and have more energy throughout the day and I'm finally feeling productive again (I'll take it for now)! Because of my history of a placental abruption & preterm delivery, and my silly cervix, I'm getting ultrasounds once a week; just had one today! What I'm wearing: Whatever Stitch Fix sends me :-) No really, I'm relying heavily on my fixes. I also got a few great staples (a couple pairs of go-to jeans and really great "yoga" attire from Destination Maternity in Natick, MA. Where this is my last pregnancy, I'm not wanting to buy too much, but with my changing body and quickly changing seasons here in Maine, I definitley need to get a few more cold weather favorites and figure out the outerwear situation. You can check out a few of my fall favorites in this post. What I'm eating: Lots of peanut butter :-) My stomach still isn't great, and my food aversions still keep my from wanting to dive in to too many salads. I'm eating a lot of smaller snacks and meals; lots of energy balls, smoothies, soups etc. Exercise: With my complicated history and short cervix, I can't do high impact workouts, but I'm trying to squeeze in some good walks, usually post bus-stop, a yoga class when the scheduling works out, and I'm really loving Tracey Anderson's Pregnancy Project (it's low impact and uses light weights). How my big boys are doing: Fantastic! They are in full swing with kindergarten & nursery school and having a blast. They are both eager to meet their little brother! I waited a long time to tell them to protect their little hearts.. they are already so attached to this new little guy. They will be almost 4 & 6 so it will be interesting to see how they welcome him in to their little bosom brotherhood. I think my problem will be the abundance of "helpfulness" :-) What gear I've bought: Nothing! I don't let myself do much shopping until I'm in my third trimester, but definitely more on this soon! I've just started building my shopping/wish list on Bablist (love this site). I don't need a ton with this being our third boy, but will for sure be getting a few key new items. Definitely excited to be getting a new and much lighter infant car seat (leaning toward the UPPAbaby Mesa), a 4Moms rockaRoo, a Halo Basinest, and few other new items! Stay tuned- MUCH more to come on this front! Names?: Nothing definitive... It's getting harder with so many friends with boys and our big kids have opinions. We like solid and rather old fashioned names. Right now Gus & Walter are at the top of the list but ideas are welcomed!
