After many months of being diaper free we are officially back in the trenches. Our little guy is finally here and we couldn't be anymore excited. With three kids now and busy schedules, I feel like I'm always forgetting something, so I'm doing what I can to stay ahead and be prepared. One thing I've done is put together a baby care kit to stash in the car, which I know will come in handy as we're on the go with big brothers' activities. Here's the steps I took: Shop for the essentials
I took a trip to our local Family Dollar Store to stock up on baby essentials because I can get so much of what I need for a great price. A tub/bin to house your kit is a great place to start, I got this one at the Family Dollar Store for $1.
I also loaded up on Huggies Little Snugglers Diapers and their Natural Care baby wipes.
Check out all the Huggies products available at the Family Dollar Store Make a checklist
Before you start loading up your bin, make a checklist of you want to include and start rounded it all up. I find that writing it out makes me less likely to forget something and allow for better packing. Here's a list of what I've included in my kit:
Diapers Wipes Diaper cream Hand sanitizer Powder Thermometer Pacifier Ziploc Bags for soiled clothes and diapers Change of clothes Burp cloth Extra blanket Nursing pads (for me) Pack wisely
Round up all your items for your kit. As your getting ready to put it together, think ahead in terms of what is most efficient and sanitary. Here are a few tips:
Stash it in the car
Find a spot in the car where the kit will be secure. I'm keeping mine in the trunk (away from little fingers) and easily accessible when we are out and about.

I'm sure my baby brain missed something - what baby essentials would you keep stashed in the car? Thanks as always for stopping by and following our adventures as we acclimate to life as a family of 5!
