Its Thirsty Thursday! Its a cold one here in Maine, but we're still mixing up smoothies in this house. Today we're making a blue smoothie :-) The kids love the color of this one, and its a good blend of antioxidants and protein; pretty tasty too!
2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
2 cups almond milk
1 cup loosely packed spinach
1 cup loosely packed kale
2 teaspoons of honey OR 2 medjool dates
1 tablespoon of almond butter (or any nut butter)
1 tablespoon of chia seeds
**if you are using fresh blueberries add a cup of ice
Enjoy!! And fair warning, this one turns your lips blue :-)
