Let's talk about Easter Baskets (If you're celebrating). I should start by saying I'm really not a big fan out of control Easter Baskets- i.e. last year per my social media feeds, it looked like the Easter Bunny was replaced by Santa Claus. But now that I sound completely bah hum-bug, I assure you, I actually love Easter and I'm excited to celebrate spring, the renewal of warmth and light, to go to sunrise service at the beach, to gather with family and do something special for my boys. Tradition in our family (since I was little) is to do an Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt around the neighborhood, with clues leading you, and small tokens along the way; it's all about the experience and doing it with friends and family. We've actually never done Easter Baskets for the boys; the excitement and treasures of the hunt it always enough. This year with all the snow we still have in Maine, I'm thinking I may do a little garden basket for the boy, to get them excited about the changing seasons and growing food and flowers in our garden. Whether you do a basket or send the kiddos on hunt, here are some ideas for fun items to include (click on the links for specific ideas).
