I say this every week, but I really cannot believe it's Friday already... Time flies when you're having fun (and when you're too busy keeping up with three kiddos to know what day it is). This week was February vacation here in Maine. The kids were ready for some time off from school and frankly I was glad to have a fairly unstructured week free of rushing around to make the bus. The week gave us the oppotunity to chill out, recconnent with friends, and take a quick little getaway down east. In keeping with my new tradition of Friday favorites (see last week's post), here are my Friday Five this week: Winter at the Samoset- My husband is having a new boat built near Rockland and with vacation we thought it was a great opportunity for us to check up on it, have change of scene/pace and a fun outing for the kiddos. While the Samoset is a spectacular and very popular destination in the summer, it also makes for a fun winter getaway (that won't break the bank). They have some really great deals on rates, including a special Maine resident rate, and they have lots of fun activities for the kids with a pool, indoor playground/rec room, skating rink, sledding hills, and so much more. We had a blast, will definitely be headed back! Thrive Market- I can't believe it's taken me this long, but I just joined Thrive Market and am so excited by the selection great natural and organic products, the big savings, and the convenience (shipped to my door is key these days). Such a great way to get some of our staples at a better price. You can check it out here Crate Full of Maine Baby Crate- I recently got to preview this crate, and it might just be my new favorite baby gift! The box includes Maine made items for baby from some of my absolute favorite local shops and artists. keep an eye out on the blog for a closer look inside the box! In the meantime, checkout their website. Wogging Group- A local friend started a Wogger's (walk/jog) Couch to 5K group. With scheduling and babysitting, today was the first day I was able to go and I'm so glad I finally made it happen. Today's goal was to walk 5 minutes and then run 30 minutes straight. While I'm a long way from where I was a year ago, I'm happy to report that I did it and it felt amazing. The miles are a lot slower and a bit more painful, but it's a step in the right direction and so much better with great company. The Ollie Swaddle- You've heard me talk a lot about the Ollie Swaddle, but I promise it's for good reason! I was skeptical at first, the design looked so simple and the price tag so high, but this swaddle kept our little guy safe, comfortable, and well-rested in his 8 weeks. And, I don't leave home without it.. you bet it made the trip to the Samoset this week. You can read more about this and my other favorite products from our first month with Baby W over here. What's on your list of favorites this week? Thanks as always for stopping by. xx
