Rabbit Rabbit! Seriously, how is it possibly July!?! I've been on a bit of a blogging break - an unintentional one.. With my other part-time HR job, navigating three kids home this summer, and lots of recent appointments with baby W, finding the time and inspiration to blog has been a challenge. I find myself feeling sub-par at all of my jobs (parenting included). I know this is just one crazy season in my parenthood journey... and definitely a discussion for another post. But let's kick off the holiday weekend talking about some favorites on this Friday shall we! 6 Months! Maybe it's because he's my third son and my last baby, but it seems like Baby W went from 0 to 6 months in the blink of an eye. This is my favorite age and I'm trying really hard to savor every minute of it. He is the sweetest little guy (literally almost always smiling). He loves being outside, he really loves his big brothers, he's excited to be eating food, and he's getting so much stronger (finally). He's been having hearing troubles with his pesky right ear which is bringing us to more doctors appointments than usual, but he is a trooper. Strawberry Rhubarb PieYou guys, I didn't think I liked strawberry rhubarb pie until I made this Recipe! My husband had been asking for one so I decided to give it a whirl for Father's Day,and we're hooked (perfect timing with all the amazing fresh strawberries in season here in Maine0. I just made one for the neighborhood BBQ and it was big hit! Summer Fun Hard to believe that we're already two weeks in to summer vacation. Last week we enjoyed no schedule and lots of fun and time with friends, and this week was sports camp, garden camp, and sailing lessons (to be a kid!). The boys also pooled their piggy banks and had a few more lemonade stands to help pay for a Blast Zone bounce house/water park. My husband was really skeptical, but this thing was SO worth it and especially helpful for keeping my busy boys entertained while their baby brother naps in his own bed. WorkoutsWhile they may look a little different these days, my workouts are important to me (and my sanity). With three kids home this summer, getting in a workout can require some planning and creativity. I was over on Savvy Sassy Moms this week talking about it - check out my post here. Beachfront Baby Summer with a baby (especially when you have two bigger kids to chase around) can be hot and limiting. Finding ways to keep cool and make life easier is essential. I'm a huge fan of babywearing as it keeps baby close and gives your mobility and of course your hands free. For this summer weather and of course for beach days, I love Beachfront Baby wraps and slings. Much more to come on these soon, so be on the lookout! What are some of your summer favorites? I'd love to hear about them! Go-to gear? Favorite spots? Great recipes? Leave me a comment. Hope everyone has a fantastic Fourth of July weekend! Thanks as always for stopping by! I've got some fun posts and giveaways coming up soon, so stay-tuned!
