And just like that it's Friday again! It was nice to get back into a bit of a routine this week after February break; my 5 year old was excited to get back to school but of course my 3 year old couldn't kick his cold and had to stay home from preschool all week. Baby W turned 2 months this week, can you believe it! He's almost doubled his weight at birth, weighing in at 10lbs 13ounces. Time is flying by, it's bittersweet (especially with this being our last little guy), but so glad he's getting big and strong. I'm back with my Friday Five; if you missed last week's, check them out here. Here's five of my favorites from this week:
Shopping small- I love discovering new small shops, not only is it nice to support these types of businesses and the people (often parents) behind them, but you can also find some really cute and unique designs. Two of my recent favorites are Two Little Beans Co. (pants baby W is wearing on the left, and Purl Lamb (W is wearing their pants on the right).
Beautycounter Skin Tint Foundation- I'm probably behind the times, but just discovered Beautycounter and am loving their Skin Tint Foundation (I'm using the linen shade). I don't wear a ton of makeup, but I do like light skin evening coverage to wear on most days. I've tried lots of different BB, CC creams and tinted moisturizers and this one is my new favorite. It's light and silky (barely feels like I have makeup on), but has a great finish. My good friend Morgan is a Beautycounter consultant - you can checkout her website if you're interested.
Monograms- I've always been drawn to preppy style and I think monograms (especially on little ones) are too cute! Check out this stylish polo a sweet friend gave baby Walter. My friends the Magnolia Mamas are also loving monograms this week- check it out.
Small town living- I know I say this all time, but I really cherish living in such a small and special town. Tonight we're going to cheer on the local high school hockey team in the playoffs and the boys are SO excited! Picture above is Jack at last year's play off game (he was devastated when they lost).
Visits with friends- My lifelong best friend was visiting this week with her little guy (born 3 days before baby W.). It was so nice to have them around, and a great reminder of how important our friends are.
Happy Friday! What are your favorites this week? Hope you have great weekend!
