Happy Friday!! It's a HOT one here in Maine today (it's actually been a hot week or so).. we had the week off from camps so we spent most of our time chilling out, playing in out bounce house/splash pad, hitting the beach, and enjoying summer here in Maine. My oldest went hauling lobster traps with Dad two days (he's obsessed), and my middle guy joined him for an afternoon too. Summers in Maine are truly magical, I count my blessings daily. SO many fun things left on the bucket list.. good thing we still have another month! Hope everyone is having a good week- here are 5 of my favorites this week: Good FriendsThis week I was reminded of how lucky I am to have such great friends. I spent the week hanging with great local friends and their kiddos at the Clam Festival, was able to sneak in a moms nigh out, and connected with some of my oldest friends at my high school reunion. Nest Grapefruit CandleI was at a neighbors house a few weeks back and this Nest Grapefruit candle was burning and I was in love. I quickly order a few and can't get enough of the sweet citrus smell! Clam FestivalFor those that aren't local, the Clam Festival is our local fair with everything from carnival rides to awesome crafts, artwork, and yummy food booths. In our little town it's a big deal- my boys were off the charts excited this year. One of their favorite parts was the 1/2 mile fun run. My 6 year old took it pretty seriously; if you look closely, you can spot him n the picture above (black hat backwards and out to win).. he came in 7th. RunningSpeaking of running, after the kids were done their race, I did the Clam Festival 5 Miler.. my first race since baby W. It was HOT, I definitely wasn't fast, but very glad I did it. The picture above isn't flattering, but its me just about to cross the finish line. Summer ReadingThe other day I found myself saying "I miss reading..". After baby W's arrival, it seemed every time I went to read I was either interrupted or fell asleep.. But we seem to be in a good phase right now and I've started sneaking in a little more time to read. With all we have going on, I was looking for true summer reads - I just finished The Rumor (love Elin Hilderbrand's book as they take place on Nantucket), and now I'm reading First Comes Love (Emily Giffin's books are always cute) both fit the bill perfectly. Have a great weekend! Thanks as always for stopping by!
