TGIF! Hope everyone had a great week! It was a glorious weather week here in Maine. I wish I was outside enjoying it a bit more but the week definitely got away from me with lot's of work, organizing, cleaning and general adulating that needed to happen. Little by little I feel like I'm starting to conquer my projects which is a plus. As much I adore summer and was sad to see it go, I'm welcoming these crisp fall mornings and getting back into a routine. We wrapped our Friday with an after school ice cream trip with friends - so fun and crazy but wouldn't have it any other way. We are so blessed to have found our tribe - Here are some favorites on the Friday: My new hutch .I have space in my house that's been in desperate need of the right piece.. I knew I wanted a hutch, and I've been on the hunt for a while now. I found this piece on the Primitive Craft Smith's Facebook page and she did a custom refinish for me. I really love it! If you're local, be sure to check out her page Primitive Craft Smith! Boys are back in school My first grader went back last week, but this week marked the start of preschool! Granted it's only 3 mornings a week, but I still appreciate having that time to work, get my house organized, and spend some time with Baby W. Calvin was also jumping for joy to go back to school, so I'm excited for him. The gift of tomatoesOur sweet friends gave us a bounty of yummy tomatoes from their garden today. I decided to make a red sauce and had it simmering all afternoon- it's for dinner tomorrow, but it looks and smells amazing! Here's the recipe I used today. LuLaRoe Anyone else getting addicted to the cute and really comfy fashions of LuLaRoe?? Among my current favorites - the leggings (pictured above) of course (there's a reason they're described as buttery soft), also loving the Carly dress right now and the Nicole dress. I also really love that by shopping LLR I'm supporting women in business. Stay tuned for more LuLa fun here soon! My hubby We celebrated my husband's birthday this week - with lots of yummy treats. He doesn't like a lot of fan-fare, but he does like getting family together. He works tirelessly for our family and we appreciate it. At the end of the summer I asked my 6 year old the best part of his summer.. thinking it might be the expensive hockey camp he went to or the bounce house splash pad we got, but nope, it was going to work hauling lobster traps with dad. Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend - thanks as always for stopping by! xx
