Are you or someone you know in the market for a wrap or baby carrier? If you've been following along, you probably already know that I'm a huge fan of babywearing, and when it comes to shopping for wraps and carriers, I love Frogmama.com. Frogmama.com is owned by mom of 6 and baby wearing guru Lorene Foster. She provides really great customer service, can help you navigate choosing the right carrier, and ships products super fast. Frogmama.com also has a terrific trade-in program and clearance section which can be a great cost savings.
I'm so excited to let you know that I am now a Frogmama.com affiliate! What does this mean? Well, it means that if you shop Frogmama through any of the links on my blog, I will get a small percentage for the referral and I am super grateful! :-) Please note that I only affiliate with brands/companies I love and wholeheartedly recommend. Also note that I love talking about baby carriers and baby wearing, and would love to chat with any of you about the options out there. Check out my babywearing roundup, and never hesitate to reach out to me via my contact form and I'll do my best to get back to you asap.
With Frogmama.com, I know that I am recommending great carriers (she doesn't sell one that I don't like) and really excellent service! Recently I had a chance to chat with Lorene of Frogmama.com about her business, and being a WAHM of 6 (yes 6)! I thought it would be a great way to introduce Frogmama.com to you and get to know Lorene better; check it out:
Q: What Prompted you to open Frogmama.com?
A: I love wearing my children and I love helping to promote bonding and attachment in other families. A short story- My first child was more high needs, wanting to be held a lot. I was living in Maine, and my mom was here in California. She picked up a sling at a yard sale and sent it to me to use. I couldn't figure it out and was about to give up on the whole babywearing thing. Another wiser, older mom at church encouraged me to keep trying saying how much she loved to use her sling with her children. She ended up bring me her old worn sling to try and it worked so much better. I decided to spend the money and get that brand that she had that worked well for me. I did and it was great. I meet people all the time who say, " I had a sling, but I couldn't figure it out" or I wish I could try out a couple carriers and find what is right for me" That is the main reason I started to sell them was to help local moms with babywearing, and things have gone from there. I am sure you will agree, these are great carriers and worth every penny!!
Q: What carrier do your recommend to a new parent wanting to try babywearing of the first time?
A: It really depends on what they are looking for. Thats why I have the babywearing 101 and 102 to help narrow it down then I also offer custom selection help details here. That being said the Beco Gemini I sell a ton of to new moms and stretchy wraps like the Boba Wrap and Wrapsody stretch hybrid.
Q: How do your choose what wraps and carriers to sell on Frogmama.com?
A: Trial and error:) lol I do try all the carriers with our kids to make sure they are ones I would fully reccommend. There have been brands I have bought and then quickly stopped carrying them as they didn't make the cut:)
Q: What is your favorite part of your job with Frogmama.com?
A: Helping moms learn the how babywearing can benefit them and their child. I love when a mom comes for a consult who has had a carrier that didn't work for them and I am able to fit them with something much more comfortable for baby and her and they leave happy:) I enjoy helping moms who are on a budget find something that may be gently used but a bit more affordable. I like knowing that the product I sell is helping moms, dads and caregivers to bond with their child. I LOVE hearing stories from happy satisfied customers of what a difference their carrier has made in their daily lives.
Q: How do you provide such great customer service and ship so quickly with 6 kids?
A: Aw Thanks:)I really have no idea:) lol It is a continual balancing act I am still working on figuring out. I try to think if I was the customer how I would want to be treated i.e. shipping times, email response, but balancing that with knowing Frogmama, at least for now, is just me. There is only so much I can do:) I am really trying this year to focus on my family and the kids as they are growing so fast, I am hoping the new affiliate program will help free up a tad bit more of my time. I wish I had time to visit all kinds of moms forums online and help moms choose a carrier that would fit their needs and get them one at a great price, but again it is just me. So thinking of other moms out there who have some baby carrier knowledge or just know babywearing is a helpful thing can be affiliates for Frogmama they can help spread the word, lighten my load and get some cash in the process:)
