I'm back! I seem to have gone on an unintentional blogging hiatus.. But I'm still here and I've got lots of fun things coming in the next few weeks, so be sure to stay tuned. In the meantime, let's catch up. Here's what's been going in in my world... My husband has been having a new lobster boat built for over a year now.. the process has been painful, and as of late lots of set-backs. Much like building your new house and being told you can't live in yet because the foundation is bad... (oh wait and this boat is how he makes a living).. but we are getting SO close now and the end is in sight (I hope). In other news I had a great Mother's day. My mom and I took the three boys on short trip to Florida to celebrate my grandmother's 85th birthday and mother's day. Being there and having her meet Walter and catching up with family was worth the trip, but not sure I'll be jumping back on a plane just yet. Despite growing up with a dad who worked for an airline for 35 years and traveling quite a bit, airplane travel now makes me ridiculously anxious and baby didn't feel so good on the way home. He's finally on the mend, but lot's of tummy troubles for this sweet little guy. We stayed in The Villages in FL to be near my grandmother. If you've never been, it's basically like Disney World for retirees. We had a blast (especially the older boys). The Villages is meticulously clean, has lot's of shops and restaurants, entertainment in the square every night, golf carts to rent (might have been their favorite part) and the hotel was great (affordable, nice pool, big suites etc). The boys were in heaven - dancing up a storm and entertaining the older crowds to say the least. While I may be slacking on the posts over here, you can also catch me over on Savvy Sassy Moms. It's a great site and a fun resource for us moms. I have fun contributing, so be sure to check out my posts - like this recent one, oh and this one too. Somehow Baby W is coming up on 5 months - where has the time gone?!? He's over 14lbs of sweetness. Still has redish curly/crazy hair (though I think he's starting to loose some) and like a true third child he loves any attention and think his big brothers are hilarious. He's also hit the 4-month sleep regression right on que. Despite the sleep interruptions, I'm starting to feel settled and in somewhat of a routine. I've just started taking on more work and school ends for the big boys in a month - there goes the routine. I've also been starting to feel like myself again - I finally connected with our babysitter and got a date night in (only took 4 months) but we have more on the books (so important). I've also been trying to get to my favorite boot-camp class and run when I can. I've been running with a "wogging" group that has really helped my motivation. I'm hoping to run a local hometown 5 miler in July, and maybe even the Maine Half Marathon (gasp) in October - I need motivation to keep running (and writing down here to make it real and stay accountable). Good to be home, and glad to get back to the blog. I've got some fun posts and giveaways lined up in the next few weeks, so be sure to stop by often. xx
