If you follow along here you know that I love to support moms in business. Frankly I think it's important to support other moms in all areas of our lives. I love that so many of us are becoming mompreneurs and finding new ways to navigate the work life balance; I'm truly in awe of all of you creative and ambitious moms out there.
I'm excited to introduce you to three local Maine moms and their business ventures. Together we've put together a fun giveaway to pamper one lucky mom, because let's face it, every mom deserves a little pampering.
Jamie is mom to one son whom she tries to devote much of her free time to, however, in addition to Jamberry, she works a full time job meaning that there isn't much free time to go around. Because she doesn't have a whole lot of "me" time to spend at salons for manicures or pedicures, Jamie was excited when she was introduced to Jamberry. She saw how easy it was to have awesome nails all the time at a fraction of salon prices and loved that she could do it herself, at night in her PJs. She is now hooked and loves being a consultant and sharing these products with others, especially busy moms.
You can visit Jamie's website, or find her on Facebook page to find out more about her products and parties.
Angie started Rodan and fields last year with the initial goal of added income for her family. She is a nurse practitioner and has always been interested in dermatology. With R+F she loves helping others find the right products for them and seeing their positive results. Angie reports that the doctors behind R+F are the creators of proactiv so they developed these products to address people's most common skincare concerns. It also eliminates waits and money to see a dermatologist. Angie just welcomed her third child, and is excited to continue helping others tackle their skincare concerns with R+F and in doing so, her goal is to decrease her hours at her other job in order to spend more time with her kiddos and hopes to get them on and off the bus when they're in school.
To learn more about Rodan + Fields products, visit Angie's website. You can also email Angie directly with questions or to find out about local events.
Teri is a mom of two daughters, an Operating Room nurse, and she became a stella & dot Stylist 9 month ago. Her best friend is an s&d stylist in Boston and came to Maine to do a few parties for her. She and girlfriends loved the jewelry and accessories, so on a whim she became a Stylist. She really just enjoys meeting new woman and having fun with it. Teri reports that s&d is known for their engravable necklaces and bracelets, perfect for new mom's! Teri loves doing parties; she provides a trunk show of the latest samples, the hostess provides the guests, and in return she can earn free jewelry/accessories. Teri says it's very low key, a night or afternoon spent with girlfriends, wine, and a little shopping.
To check out stella & dot designs, head over to Teri's website. You an also email Teri with any questions or to set up a trunk show.
