A few days ago the boys and I went strawberry picking with friends for the first time this season. Other than having to talk to my little guy for eating too many berries, and sitting on the plants, it was a blast; it's one of my favorite activities of summer. Now with all of these strawberries in my fridge it's time to make some yummy treats. We're going to make popsicles, decorate a cake for the holiday, and make lot's of smoothies to start. I shared the picture below on Instagram, and many of you asked for the recipe, so here it is, one of our favorite sweet summer treats!
Sweet Strawberry Smoothie
1 cup fresh strawberries
1 banana (I like to use a frozen one sliced)
1/2 cup of milk (feel free to use a non dairy milk I use almond milk for myself)
1/2 cup of vanilla Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon honey
a handful of ice cubes (more if your banana isn't frozen)
Put all of your ingredients in your Vitamix or blender, process for 30 second or until smooth, and enjoy!
Happy Summer- thanks as always for stopping by!
