This is a great go to recipe the kids and I have been making lately and it's quickly made it's way in to our rotation of favorites. It's yummy as is, or can be a great base for adding in other favorites. I don't typically use dairy in my smoothies (esp with the greens), but I love the creamy texture and boost of calcium and it goes really well with the nut butter and bananas. 1 frozen banana 2/3 cup vanilla yogurt (I used greek) 1 cup almond milk 2 tablespoons of almond butter 1 tablespoon or 2 of dark chocolate chips small handful of raw cashews splash of natural pure vanilla extract a few ice cubes This smoothie is loaded with protein, but if you're looking to make this smoothie a little heartier and stay with you longer, try adding a 1/4 cup or so of old fashioned rolled outs or a scoop of your favorite vanilla protein powder. Put all the ingredients in your Vitamix or high speed blender, and mix for 30 seconds or until the banana and ice are fully combined and enjoy! Thanks as always for stopping by! xx
