Happy Thursday!! If you are looking for a quick breakfast you can take on the go, or a power snack that will stay with you, this smoothie is a great option and kind of tastes like a treat. I made this today before the farmer's market and it actually curbed my appetite for a few hours :-)
1 1/2 cups milk of your choice (Almond and coconut milk are great options)
3 tablespoons of Oats
1 scoop of protein powder (note chocolate is ideal.. I often use USANA Nutrimeal or Arbonne powder).
1 banana (ideally frozen)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 good tablespoons peanut butter (or any nut butter of your choice)
1 good tablespoon of dark chocolate pieces
a few squirts of honey
ice for desired texture
Mix all the ingredients until smooth in your Vitamix or blender and enjoy! This is a simple and yummy boost to kick-start your day.
