Last year I wrote this guest blog post for my friends at aden + anais. While it's not easy to open up, I'm so glad for the opportunity to share my story, as I know I'm not the only one that's walked this path and struggled with these feelings. It's actually in talking with other angel moms that I've found the most comfort.
It seems every year as Mother's Day approaches, this is on my mind... Mother's Day is a special day, but it can also be a really hard day. Some of us are blessed to be celebrating with our little miracles, some of us are missing our angel babies, some of us are longing for a child, and I know so many of you are missing your own moms. Motherhood is amazingly beautiful and rewarding, but the journey to and through motherhood can really test us.
Wherever you are in your journey, be good to yourself today and celebrate in anyway that feels right. I will be thinking of ALL of your today. If you know someone that is spending the day missing their sweet baby, their mom, or longing to become a mom, just let them know you are thinking of them.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you! I am continuously amazed by all of you that I've met along the way- your strength, your determination, your creativity, your spirit, your kindness, it's inspiring and contagious! And I'm beyond appreciative for your support. Thanks as always for stopping by!
I'm Rebecca, a Maine mom of three energetic young boys and wife of a lobsterman, living in my favorite place, the coast of Maine. You'll find me here talking about my parenting journey, mom style, recipes, running and exercise, travel, stories from our life in Maine and so much more! Most days I'm just figuring it out as I go - Thanks so much for stopping by!
