Three weeks ago my husband and I left the kids with my mom and went sea clamming early in the morning. It was gray and cold and felt more like the end of February than the last days of April, but believe it or not I loved it! Even in such weather, I am always so grateful to live on the ocean. And of course to spend a couple hours with my husband was a treat as well. :-) Here are some pictures of the morning-
If you're wondering what we do with these large sea clams, we (my husband) shucks them, and then I grind them and freeze them and use them for our famous clam dip, baked stuffed clams, and chowders etc.. And yes, I love living in Maine.
Thanks as always for reading and stopping by! :-)
