Where did the time go? Ready or not, school starts Tuesday for us. I'm excited to get back to a routine, but I'm really sad to see summer go. Pretty sure my 6 year old is feeling the same way. He's excited to see all his friends, start soccer, and be a first grader, but he's not jumping for joy like he was last year. Truthfully I've done a poor job playing it up and getting excited with him; I think we'll go out to lunch and go shopping for a few school outfits (b/c he's grown like and weed, and while he'd prefer to wear Umbros everyday, I'd like him to have a few outfits that aren't covered in summer stains). Can't really blame the boy, his summer has been filled with fun- sailing camps, hockey camps, outings with friends, beach days, pool days, lobstering with dad; being a Maine kid is pretty cool.
This past week flew by. We spent four days on Monhegan Island at my brother-in-laws wedding. It was a breathtaking location and such a blast, but now I'm still unpacking and digging through the laundry. It was a busy one, but a great one to wrap up this last week of summer. Here's five favorites on this Friday:

Wedding fun
The wedding weekend was truly a great time. Lots of reconnecting with friends and family, lots of good food/beverages, hiking, swimming, and lots of laughs. My older boys enjoyed their job as ring bearers- more pictures to come.
Mabel's Labels
One thing I learned from my son's first year of kindergarten, was to label EVERYTHING. I label everything from shoes and coats, to hockey gear and water bottles. Mabel's Labels is my go-to; their labels are so cute, really durable, and waterproof/dishewasher safe. My middle son's co-op is doing a fundraiser, so if you're planning to buy labels anyway, we'd love you to shop through their link- click here!
Savvy Sassy Moms
I may not be on the blog as often, but I'm still writing! I've been writing posts for Savvy Sassy Moms and having a great time working on these posts and connecting with the other product scouts and contributors! Check out my latest post over there with tips for first time kindergarten moms!
Stitch Fix for the win
I probably seem like a broken record, but not sure what I would do without Stitch Fix (thought my bank account and my husband might feel otherwise). Navigating postpartum fashion isn't always easy, embracing your current shape/size when you have a closet full of clothes that don't fit right is challenging. Stitch Fix has been a lifesaver, helping me get some new pieces that fit my body along the way, and allowing me to do it all from the comfort of my house. You should see the looks I get when I attempt to take my crew shopping! If you haven't already and want to give it a whirl, you can sign up through my affiliate link. Crock-pot chicken fajitas
Our oven has been out of commission waiting for a part before it can be fixed.. so needless to say the grill and crock-pot have been my friend. This chicken fajita recipe has been a staple!
Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend! Looking forward to getting on here more when we get into our Fall routine! Thanks as always for stopping by!
