Not that I think you particularly care what kind of Valentines Day cards my son is giving out at preschool... but just in case anyone else out there needs reassurance that store bought is OK, I thought I'd share. I'm sure my son's mailbox at his co-op preschool will be filled with some beautiful creations, and likely (hopefully) some other store bought beauties, but I know that he and all his little classmates will be SO excited to get mail they definitely won't be judging. (My lack of creativity aside) my son isn't in to crafting right now...I'm lucky if he spends 5 minutes on a project, so filling in the names and putting stickers on the cards was perfect for him. It was so cute how he wanted to pick out the card for each friend, and is so exciting to be giving them out; that's what its all about. After seeing some serious artwork on facebook, I felt a tad guilty picking up store bought cards....so I'm reminding myself how silly that sounds... Sometimes we put pressure on ourselves to be the craftiest and most clever when really that's not at all what its about.
Now here's to hoping its not a snow day, so he can pass out his Valentines :-)
