2 cups unsweetened almond milk or other nut, grain, or seed milk (strained if homemade)
3 tablespoons raw cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup raw unsalted cashews, soaked
2 tablespoons raw pecans, soaked
2 tablespoons raw almond butter
1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (or more or less to taste)
1 1/2 frozed sliced bananas
1/2 cup ice cubes
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
1 tablespoon acai powder
1/4 cup frozen raw cauliflower florets
Throw all of the ingredients except the bananas and ice into your Vitamix or blender and blast on high for 30-60 seconds until the nuts are completely pureed.
Add the bananas and ice cubes and blast for another 10-20 seconds until smooth and creamy.
A few notes: I usually add chia seeds. I often don't soak the nuts or freeze the bananas and it still tastes delicious. I also sometimes substitute the cacao powder a couple scoops of my USANA Chocolate Nutrimeal.
*Note that if I'm making this for myself I usually cut the recipe roughly in half, or I share the full recipe with me little rascals that love it!!
